     Do you know why materials around can be solid, like wood liquid, like water and gas, like air ?     Most materials can change from one state to another when heated or cooled.     Some materials, like wood, decompose before melting. So you cannot get a liquid wood, it will simply burn from heating.    But why there are solid, liquid, and gas states of matter? Let's try a fun experiment!
