Pumice - the Floating Rock - a Fun Lesson Starter for the Rock Cycle Lesson

     Did you know that there is a kind of rock that can float in water? It is called pumice

   But how can it do it? Pumice is an igneous rock, which means it is was formed from hot lava. The bubbles of gas that stuck inside pumice make it lighter than water and able to float.
